New Artist at Direktorenhaus: Bea Bühler

Bea has been commuting between the French capital and her hometown Munich for 15 years. It was only two years ago that the interior designer dedicated herself to the design of high-quality leather bags — in 2014 she founded her own label.

Designer Bea Bühler discovered her fascination for bags during her studies of interior design and product design at the École Camondo in Paris. A collection of bags was part of her final thesis, and she graduated from the university with a double degree. Born in Munich, she has gained professional experience with renowned product designers in Munich and Paris as well as in regular collaborations with artists. She has been working as a freelance interior designer and product designer for architects, designers and private clients for ten years. Bea Bühler has received several awards for her work.

The influence of the architecture is immediately noticeable, however, the soft lambskin bags captivate with unusual, geometric shapes. The Balloon collection was produced by Hermès, the newer Moon bags are produced in a Paris studio. During production, Bea and her Vespa go to the studio almost every day to work on the last details, because you often don’t know exactly how the leather will look on the finished bag. From zippers to soft inner linings, every detail of the bag is full of work and love.
